More masks than jellyfish

“More masks than jellyfish” was set up on Stige Ø in Odense, Denmark the summer of 2022. The installation was a part of the Harbour Art Walk exhibition which opened on 3rd of July with various art projects.

It’s inspired by research that concludes that the world risks having more masks than jellyfish in the oceans in the near future because of all the Covid masks being used.

With this installation I want us to rethink our relationship with single-use plastic and bulk purchase. I got most of the masks donated since an institution here in Odense had bought them in bulk and had 150.000 left when the mask restrictions were lifted in Denmark.
